Cancellation & Refund Policy

My Time To Drive

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for driving lessons and related services provided by My Time To Drive.

 

1. Lesson Cancellations by the Learner

  • We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a driving lesson

  • Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full

  • Lessons missed without notice are non-refundable

This includes cancellations due to illness, work, education, or personal circumstances.

 

2. Lesson Cancellations by Us

We may need to cancel a lesson due to:

  • Instructor illness

  • Vehicle breakdown or safety issues

  • Severe weather or unsafe driving conditions

  • Circumstances beyond our control

In these cases:

  • The lesson will be rearranged at no extra cost, or

  • A refund will be offered if rearrangement is not possible

 

3. Block Bookings

  • Block bookings must be paid in advance

  • Lessons in a block must normally be used within 6–12 months (unless otherwise agreed)

  • Unused lessons are non-refundable once lessons have commenced.

We encourage learners to book regularly to avoid expiry.

 

4. Refunds

  • Refunds are not provided for lessons already taken

  • Refunds for unused lessons may be considered at our discretion

Refunds will be issued by bank transfer.

 

5. Gift Vouchers and Discounted Offers

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-exchangeable

  • Discounted lesson packages are non-refundable once used or partially used

  • Vouchers must be used within the stated validity period

 

6. Cooling-Off Period (Consumer Contracts Regulations)

When lessons are booked online or at a distance, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking for a full refund provided that:

  • No lessons have taken place during this period

If you request lessons to start within the 14-day cooling-off period, you acknowledge that:

  • You may lose your right to a full refund once lessons have begun

  • Any refund will be reduced to reflect lessons already taken

 

7. Driving Test Day Bookings

  • Use of our vehicle for a driving test must be agreed in advance

  • Test day bookings are non-refundable if cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice

  • We reserve the right to refuse test use if safety or readiness concerns exist

 

8. How to Cancel a Lesson

Cancellations must be made by:

  • Text message

  • Phone call

Social media messages are notaccepted as cancellation notice.
